ANITA – Students in the CAM School District will be celebrating homecoming with activities, starting on Sept. 15.
The theme of this year’s homecoming event is “Road Trip 2019,” and activities will kick off with a powder puff game on Sept. 15, starting a 6 p.m.
Dress up days will also be held throughout the week, and start on Sept. 16 with “Travel Across America” or Patriotic Day. Sept. 17 will be -”Let Me Drive the Boat” or Hawaiian Day, and Sept. 18 will be “Let’s Go to the Rodeo” or Cowboy Day. Sept. 19 will be “Are We There Yet?” or Pajama Day, and Sept. 20 will be Spirit Day.
A Soup Supper will be held on Sept. 19 at the CAM High School from 5 to 6:45 p.m., followed by coronation, which will be held in the gym at 7 p.m. Homecoming candidates include Ethan Fast, Ben Tibken, Jacob Holste, Nate Hensley, Haley Luke, Jozie Lett, Sammi Jahde and Grace Kauffman. Attendants are Carlie Schuler (junior attendant), Ethan Arp (junior attendant), Sydney Becker (freshman attendant), Sam Foreman (freshman attendant), Abby Follmann (sophomore attendant) and Lane Spieker (sophomore attendant). MC’s for the coronation are Natasha Erickson and Emily Lee, and ushers are Kolby Nelsen and Ally Lang.
On Sept. 20, the homecoming parade will be held with line up starting at 1:30 p.m., and parade officially kicking off at 2 p.m. A pep rally will be held at 2:30 p.m.
Hy-Vee Tailgating for the homecoming football game will start at 5:30 p.m., and the game will start at 7 p.m. with the Cougars taking on the West Harrison Hawkeyes. A homecoming dance will be held following the game.
