CASS COUNTY – Improvements to the roads at Cold Springs Park, especially around the campground area, have been completed, and the Cass County Board of Supervisors approved the final payment during Tuesday’s meeting. The project included making improvements to the road around the campground area and about 400 feet of the road near the park office coming into the park.
Cass County Conservation Director Micah Lee told the board Tuesday that the improvements were completed at the end of September, and department staff was really pleased with how it turned out.
“We’re really happy with the work, and we’ve already been getting a lot of compliments on it,” Lee said.
The board approved the final payment for the project, with 50 percent coming from the Conservation Special Resource Enhancement Fund, and 50 percent coming from Local Option Sales Tax. The total cost of the project was $113,751.10
