DES MOINES — State officials announced Wednesday that a third person had come down with the COVID-19 virus on Wednesday.
The case is the second reported in the last week. State officials report that as of Wednesday 254 people have been tested in Cass County. Across the RMCC Region 4 area seven patients were hospitalized, four were in the ICU and two were admitted within the last 24 hours. Audubon County remained steady with 11 positive cases reported and one death.
State-wide nine deaths were reported on Monday, and just one on Tuesday. Over 111,000 people have been tested with 212 new cases reported on Tuesday and 120 as of Wednesday afternoon. In total there have been 385 deaths state-wide and 15,595 positive cases reported.
