MISSOURI VALLEY — Riverside swept a six-team round-robin invitational hosted by Missouri Valley Saturday to take the title.

The Lady Dawgs defeated Boyer Valley (21-8, 21-17), Griswold (21-14, 21-19), Exira-EHK (21-5, 21-16), Woodbine (21-14, 21-15) and the host Lady Reds (21-19, 21-8) to round out a perfect day.

Overall, the Lady Dawgs ended with 31 ace serves, 96 digs and 98 kills as a team. Jayden Achenbach had seven kills in the Boyer Valley and Griswold matches, while Kenna Ford finished with 65 assists. Ari McGlade had four ace serves in the Boyer Valley matchup.

Griswold went 2-3 on the day to finish fourth. The Tigers beat Woodbine (21-17, 21-10) and the Exira-EHK (21-16, 15-21, 15-4), but — in addition to Riverside — fell to Boyer Valley (21-13, 21-7) and Missouri Valley (21-11, 21-19).

Exira-EHK was also at the meet, their lone win coming against Woodbine, 22-10, 21-13.

Statistics for the Tigers and Spartans were not immediately posted on QuikStats Iowa as of Sunday afternoon.

Riverside had four all-tournament selections: Achenbach, Ashlynn Amdor, Izzy Bluml and Ford. Griswold’s Mikala Pelzer also made the all-tournament squad.

Audubon wins 2

at SC Calhoun

LAKE CITY — Audubon finished a 2-4 afternoon at the South Central Calhoun Invitational.

The Wheelers defeated IKM-Manning and Belmond-Klemme, each in two sets, while losing to South Hamilton of Jewell, Grenee County, Pocahontas Area and the host Titans, all in two sets.

Leah Subbert ended with 11 kills on the afternoon, while Mallory Riebhoff and Melissa Deist had nine each. Jaci Christensen had 12 blocks, including four solos against Belmond-Klemme. Ryle Hartl had 65 digs in the six matches.

The Wheelers travel to Riverside on Thursday.

AHSTW wins

three at CR-B

COON RAPIDS — AHSTW improved to 6-4 on the season after picking up a trio of wins at the Coon Rapids-Bayard Invitational Saturday afternoon.

The Vikings defeated Ogden twice (21-16, 21-14; and 21-14, 2-13) and Paton-Churdan (21-9, 21-19), but lost to the host Crusaders (21-17, 21-16). Senior Kinsey Scheffler finished the day with 27 kills, while Ally Meyers had 50 assists.

CAM was also at the meet, but information on their games was not immediately available.
