MASSENA – Members of Massena Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a first ever Christmas event known as “Mingle and Jingle” tonight.

According to information from the City of Massena’s Facebook Page, the event will include a Lighted Parade and Grand Lighting to follow on Main Street, starting at 5:30 p.m. Santa will also be at the Barber Shop to visit, and kids can come to the Lion’s/Legion Hall to work on crafts. Hot cocoa and cider will also be served at the Lions/Legion Hall.

According to information from the Massena Public Library Facebook Page, officials at the Massena Public Library will also be hosting a holiday open house tonight, and will serve a meal of chili, hot dogs and cinnamon rolls. The cost is a free will donation, and proceeds will help pay to update the Library Management System. This will help make check out service faster, and help staff found materials faster for patrons.

Library Board President Mary Ellen Yarger, who will be retiring from her position, will be honored during the open house as well.
