Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign will hold a rural issues listening tour event in Greenfield on Oct. 11. The event is free and open to the public and will be held at 5:30 p.m. at The Corner Coffee Shop, 284 Public Square, in Greenfield.
The event is part of a months-long listening tour organized by John Russell, the Warren campaign’s rural outreach coordinator in Iowa. These events are an opportunity to hear directly from voters in rural communities across Iowa.
“Rural voters deserve to be heard, and our campaign is committed to visiting every corner of the state to learn what’s on their minds,’’ Russell said. “Elizabeth Warren has a plan to rebuild the middle class and create economic opportunity no matter where you live, but we know that big, structural change starts with a conversation.”
Elizabeth has released plans to level the playing field for family farmers, make greater investments in rural America, expand access to affordable housing, provide universal child care, and boost green manufacturing, among many other issues.
The Greenfield listening tour event will be conducted by Russell. Everyone is welcome and attendees are encouraged to join the conversation and provide input to the Warren campaign.
To RSVP to the event, text or call Russell at 515-203-3709, or sign up online at https://www.mobilize.us/iowaforwarren/event/128125/. In addition, contact Russell if you have any accessibility needs so that we can make sure the event will be accessible and comfortable for you.
