ATLANTIC – Randy and Marsha Watts are looking for cars.

They aren’t in the market for a new vehicle - instead they are looking for people to attend their Cruisers Night event ,which features classic cars, scheduled for June 15.

The event has previously been hosted by R/T Motors, and Randy said this year, he and Marsha offered to take over hosting duties.

“Russ has done it for several years, and it’s a lot of work,” Randy said. “(So I thought) I’ve got all this parking out here. I’ve got the store next door. We’ve got the awning that gives that drive through feeling.”

Randy is probably best known as Vice President of Camblin Mechanical, and the area he is referring to above is next to the Camblin Mechanical building, at 716 West Seventh Street in Atlantic where there is a building with an awning.

“(This is) just a night to bring your stuff and show it off,” Randy said.

The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., and features food from A-Town Smoke Shack BBQ, as well as music for dancing. Randy said this isn’t a competition event, just a chance to show people their vehicle, and cruise around, which was popular years ago.

“This is more about people driving the ride,” he said. “They drive it here. Pop the hood. Get something to eat. Brag about the good old good days. And they cruise town.”
