GRISWOLD – Members of the Griswold School Board will hold two special meetings next week to interview candidates for the Griswold MS/HS Principal Position. Griswold Superintendent Dave Henrich said last Monday that current principal Katie Elwood will be leaving after June to take a similar position in Stanton.
According to the agenda, the meetings will be held on March 30 and March 31 in the Elementary Library and start at 5 p.m. There will be time for public input, and also discussion on the interview process. The board will also consider going into closed session, and separate closed sessions will be used for each candidate.
Henrichs said previously Elwood has been MS/HS Principal for four years, and previously taught in Griswold and Stanton. He said she has always been a big advocate for students, and was always focusing on student achievement.
For her part, Elwood said she’s going to miss the relationships with students, the community, the board and the administrative staff, and thanks them for working with her for the last four years.
