DES MOINES – The Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association announced earlier this week that Erin Kirtley, athletic director at Panorama High School, has been elected as the organization’s second vice president.

A news release stated the following about Erin and the role:

“Erin has an outstanding resume of accomplishments in her career in the athletic world. Erin has been the Athletic Director/At Risk Coordinator at her school since 2013. She is Certified Athletic Trainer. Erin has been part of the leadership team in the Southwest Iowa Athletic Directors for the past five years and most recently has served as the Senior District Director for Southwest Iowa for the past two years.”

The second vice president serves a three year term. Kirtley will move to the first vice president in the 2021-2022 school year before becoming the 55th oresident of the IHSADA in the 2022-2023 school year.

DEADLINES EXTENDED

Two application deadlines have been extended due to closures owing to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Robert Smiley Scholarship Application deadline has been extended from April 3 to April 24.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Application deadline has been extended from April 6 to April 24.
