Abraham Lincoln will be at the American Legion Memorial Building on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. His visit is sponsored by Atlantic Rock Island Society Enterprise (ARISE). His presentation will be followed by time for questions, visiting and refreshments.

Lee Williams becomes Abraham Lincoln not only in appearance but also in portraying Lincoln’s character, We see humility, determination, humor and compassion.

Williams has appeared in class rooms reaching children, youth and adults from kindergarten to university to retirees. He has participated in church services, weddings, Valentine banquets, corporation conferences and numerous Presidents’ Day celebrations. He often participates in reenactment to review the troops and living history fairs to mingle with the crowds.

Williams is a native to southwest Iowa and has traveled the world to give his presentations. He is a member of the Association of Lincoln presenters, an organization dedicated to bringing Abe and Mary Lincoln to life through fun, educational performances.

The presentation is free and open to the public. The Building is handicapped accessible. Everyone is welcome on Sunday, Feb. 19 beginning at 2 p.m.
