Superintendent Eric Trager

Audubon School Superintendent Eric Trager will continue to be shared with the Coon Rapids-Bayard district after the Audubon school board voted to continue the three year sharing agreement.

AUDUBON — The Audubon Community School Board has voted to continue sharing Superintendent Eric Trager and three other staff members with the Coon Rapids-Bayard District. The district approved a memorandum of understanding to continue sharing Superintendent Trager for three years, and approved a sharing agreement for a human resources person, transportation director and elementary school counselor. The sharing agreement for those positions is for one year.

The board also approved staffing changes for Fiscal Year 2021.

The district will add a half time social worker, who will be shared with Coon Rapids-Bayard, a plus for both districts, Trager said, as mental health concerns are a priority for schools these days. A half time interventionist and half time Title I teacher will be added using funds from the teacher leadership fund, he said, and the district also plans to add an assistant advisor for FFA.

Trager said the district had more than 100 students involved in FFA and needed the extra help — it is not a teaching position, and those interested should contact the district for more information.
