STEM Fest 2020

Mark your calendar for Guthrie County STEM Fest on Saturday, April 4! This years event will be held at the Stuart Elementary School from 1- 3 pm. Join us for a free, fast paced, educations, family fun afternoon! This event is geared toward youth in K-6th. Contact our office with any questions or if you are interested in hosting a booth!

Save the Date: CAMP WILD June 4-6

Take a ride on the "WILD" side and mark your calendars to attend Camp Wild, June 4-6 at Guthrie Grove Retreat Center near Guthrie Center.  Camp Wild is offered for youth completing grades 5, 6, and 7 in Spring 2020.

Experience the adventure and excitement of three days filled with 4-H camping traditions and favorite activities, including nature hikes, orienteering, canoeing, fishing, archery, swimming, camp songs, and campfires. Bring a friend with you and make new ones while you are there too!

Camp will run from Thursday, June 4 at 9:30 a.m. with registration, until our closing ceremony, starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6.

The camp will be filled at 60 youth, so register before it fills up! Registration Deadline is May 8.. Registration costs $200. Refunds will be available up to May 25. Make sure to check with your County Extension Office, as many have financial assistance for 4-H members attending camp! Scholarships are also available from the Iowa 4-H Foundation. Applications can be submitted at any time but will be evaluated beginning May 1 and then on a rolling basis. Visit for information on this funding opportunity.

Camp Wild Counselors Needed

Camp Wild is now accepting applications for camp counselors! Counselors must be 16 or older by June 4. Application can be found on our website at Applications are due by Feb. 14.
