Guthrie County 4-H Prime Rib Dinner
Celebrate the New Year with us! Guthrie County 4-H has been challenged by the Guthrie County Fair Board to raise $50,000 to be used toward building a new 4-H STATIC building for the 2020 Guthrie County Fair. One hundred percent of proceeds from the 2020 Prime Rib Dinner will go toward the new building. Dinner will include a live auction and 50/50 Raffle. The Prime Rib Dinner will be on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020 at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds Events Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and buffet will begin at 6 pm. Ticket cost is $30 per person. Contact your local 4-H member to purchase a ticket.
Farmers Coffee is back! Mark your calendars to join us on Dec. 6 for Calving Under a Roof, Jan. 3 for a Market Outlook and Farm Bill preview, Feb. 7 for a Crop Update, and March 6 to discuss Farm Property Theft! Have you ever heard someone say something hurtful to you and you didn’t know how to respond? Have you ever said something unintentionally offensive and wished you could take it back? Learn how to enhance skills for speaking up against stereotypes at Rise Up on Saturday, Dec. 28. This event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Audubon Recreation Center and is for seventh and eight graders. Event is free for 4-H members and $10 for non 4-H members. Mental Health Stop the Stigma
Grow through what you go through. Mental health is just as important as physical health. So, take some time today to give your brain some love. Check out some fun activities you can do to de-stress your brain right now: Go for a 10-minute walk, do a breathing exercise, eat a snack, drink some water, turn off your phone and unplug for a while, watch a funny video, treat yourself to ONE thing, talk to someone.
