BPO Does Attend Convention

Seven members of the Benevolent Patriotic Order of Does from Atlantic Drove #23 Iowa attended the 2019 Grand Lodge convention in Oklahoma at the Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Sunday, the group had DOES Registration and jewelry sales, raffle sales for Dogs for Better Lives, National Heritage Center and Ways and Means. That evening was Grand Lodge Memorial Service, Elks Rest Ceremony, and Flag Day Ceremony. The next thee days were workshops, reports an announce the death of Grand Lodge members during 2018-2019. Out of 26 notifications, the group’s own Shirley Warne was on the list.

On Wednesday night, the group had a “Yankee Doodle Dandy” fun night, and they got a picture in our red, white and blue-(front row) Marcene Arn, Linda Marek and Carole Schwarte and (back row) Elaine Martens, Darla Cassidy and Mary Ann Moorman. (Not pictured) Karen Kitelinger. On the last day, there was an election of officers and installation of a new Supreme President Trill Norris, Charleston Drove #231, South Carolina. The group is now looking forward to another fun year.
