The Heritage House Guild met on Tuesday, Jan. 21 with Lorene Aldag and Kathy Hayes as hostesses. Twenty one members and four 4 guests attended. Shirley Jensen and Lyne Peterson are new members of the Guild.

Activities Director, Gabby Peterson, reminded us that the Memorial Service is Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. Judy Phippen and Kathy Hayes will serve. The Valentine’s Day party will be Feb. 12 and Nancy Misenor, Marcia Lowers, Lorene Aldag, Judy Phippen, and Kathy Hayes will help serve. Linda Keys 100th birthday party is Jan. 25 from 1 to 5p.m. Marcia Lowers, Nancy Misenor, and Judy Ryan will serve.

Phyllis Hoegh presented the program on Denmark and her visit there. Her ancestors came from the Isle of Moen and she talked about the Isle and it’s people. Phyllis introduced us to the word Hygge which means a warm, comfortable, happy, and relaxed mood.

President Kathy Hayes called the meeting to order and secretary Judy Phippen took roll call and read the minutes. Residents that were present that were celebrating birthdays were Marilyn Jensen, Linda Keys, Alma Tallman, and Joan Reed. Guild members Kathy Hayes, Kathy Nelson and Shirley Jensen were also celebrating birthdays. New Guild books for 2020 were passed out.

Coffee hostesses for Jan. 24 are Sally Hohl and Nancy Misenor, Jan. 31 is Kathy Nelson and Marcia Lowers, Feb. 7 is Sally Hohl and Marj Houston, Feb. 14 is Lorene Aldag, and Kathy Nelson, and Feb. 21 is Nancy Misoner and Florence Burrows.

The next meeting will be Feb. 18 with Marj Houston and Sally Hohl as the hostesses.
