The Tuesday Music Club enjoyed a noon luncheon at Dusty’s on May 7 to end our 2018-2019 year. All members sang the Doxology before we ate. After we ate, we went to the Central Church of Christ, to have our business meeting. President Dorothy Croxell called the meeting to order. There were 23 members who answered the roll call with their summer music plans. Linda Parker, our President for the 2019-2020 year announced that the new officers, plus Donna Reimers, Donna Perdue and Michelle Hartfield will meet at Dusty’s at 11:30 a.m. on June 11 to plan for the next year. The Cass County Chorale will present a concert June 27-28 at the Atlantic High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Several Music Club members are part of this group. Meeting adjourned. We then practiced the songs we would be singing to the Griswold Care Center Inc./Assisted Living.

We then all went to the Care Center to present our program. Dorothy Croxell acted as narrator as she told about our meetings and a little about each program presented throughout the year. Donna Perdue lead the members in singing: “Give Me A Little Kiss,” “The Band Played On,” “Bill Bailey Won’t You Please Come Home,” “The Water is Wide,” “You Make Me Feel So Young,” “Mine Eyes Have Seen The Glory,” and “I Believe.” Doris Rieken accompanied on the piano. The residents really liked hearing Pat McCauley play Tambourin by Suzuki on her violin.

Jello cake was served to everyone for lunch. Those furnishing cakes were Dorothy Croxell, Doris Rieken, Linda Parker and Carolyn Sindt.
