ATLANTIC — An additional COVID-19 death has been identified for Cass County. According to information from the Iowa COVID-19 Dashboard website and Iowa Public Health officials, Cass County’s deaths have risen to 3, and the number of positive COVID-19 cases at Atlantic Specialty Care has risen to 53 with 7 recovered.

Across the state 813 new cases had been identified as of Sunday morning, and there were two addition deaths identified in Mills County.

The number of positive cases identified in the state was 936,812, with 115,775 individuals determined to be positive. By percentage the state was at 12.4 percent, with a 10.6 percent 14 day average.

In Cass County 3,569 individuals were tested; 386 positive or 10.8 percent, with a 14 day average of 21.1 percent.

Positive cases by group include 31 percent are young adults, aged 18-40; 30 percent middle aged, or 41-60; 20 percent were older adults, aged 61-80, 8 percent were the elderly over 80 and 11 percent were children 0-17.
