A Red Oak resident was arrested in Atlantic Thursday, according to Atlantic Police, and reports say the individual was wanted on multiple theft charges.
Stuart Seller, 45, was arrested on a Montgomery County for interference with official acts (inflicts bodily injury), and Johnson County warrants for theft first degree and burglary third degree. Seller was taken into custody, transported to the Cass County Jail, booked in, and later transferred to the Montgomery County Jail.
Seller was suspected of stealing from the University of Iowa Medical Center, and was said to be spotted in Atlantic by a concerned citizen in the Wal-Mart parking lot exiting a stolen vehicle. The citizen then contacted officers at the Atlantic Police Department and deputies at the Cass County Sheriff’s Office who were able to locate Seller.
