Cass County warrant

On July 22, officers at the Atlantic Police Department arrested Donald Ray Wilson, 53 of Atlantic, on two Cass County Sheriff’s Office warrants for ongoing criminal conduct (B Felony); two charges of possession with intent to deliver morphine (C Felonies); and two counts of drug tax stamp violation (D Felony). Wilson was taken to the Cass County Jail and later released on Pretrial Release.

Cited into court

On July 26, deputies with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office cited into court Jeptha Martin Vestal, 45, of Carroll, on a charge of Impersonating a Public Official (Aggravated). Court date is pending.

Multiple charge arrest

On July 27, deputies at the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Aaron Joseph Moore, 41, of Walnut, on charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana (D Felony); drug tax stamp violation (D Felony); criminal mischief fifth degree (simple) and possession of drug paraphernalia (simple). Moore was taken to the Cass County Jail and later released on $6,000 bond.

District Court warrants

On July 30, deputies at the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dustin Lee Jones, 21, Council Bluffs, on two District Court warrants for probation violation. Jones was taken to the Cass County Jail where he remains held on $40,000 bond.

Possession of marijuana

Two individuals were arrested on July 31 due to possession of marijuana. Deputies at the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tobin Lee Jensen, 40, of Atlantic, on a charge of possession of marijuana second offense (serious). Jensen was taken to the Cass County Jail and released the following day on his own recognizance. Deputies at the Cass County Sheriff’s Office also arrested Stephen Robert Nichols, 39, of Atlantic, on a charge of possession of marijuana first offense (serious). Nichols was taken to the Cass County Jail and released the following day on his own recognizance.

Polk County warrant

On Aug. 2, deputies at the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Albert Kevin Barnes, 27, of Atlantic, on a Polk County warrant. Barnes was taken to the Cass County Jail and later released to Polk County authorities.
