It's getting close to Thanksgiving and I would like to share with you one of the things I am most thankful for.

I am thankful for Congresswoman Cindy Axne, our Congresswoman here in Iowa's Third District. Why?

The Congresswoman has worked hard every day in D.C. and in Iowa for us--ALL of us. In fact, she had been voted the most accessible to her constituents. She meets monthly with citizens of every county, spending time with them, LISTENING to them, and then following through in her votes for them, for the middle class, and for US.

Axne can work and does work across the aisle. She worked with Republicans on the ethanol issue, on obtaining more funding for flood-impacted Iowans, and in obtaining funding to support farmers impacted by the trade wars.

She has worked to force politicians to disclose their dark money contributors, to limit the power of special interests lobbyists, to lower the cost of prescription and health care, and to add skills training and trade schools classes in high school, making it easier for youth to obtain apprenticeships when they graduate from high school. She has intervened in landlord/renter conflicts and has passed legislation to increase more affordable rental housing options. Axne is also working to hold corporations accountable for shipping jobs overseas.

So, why haven't you heard about the successes Congresswoman Axne has had in Washington? Perhaps it is because most of the bills passed by the House of Representatives are lying on the Senate Majority Leader's desk. And have been for months.

But she perseveres.

We need Cindy in Congress, standing up for working and middle class Iowans. She doesn't care whether you are Republican, Democrat, or Independent. Congresswoman Axne continues to fight every day to do what is needed for the citizens of Iowa.
