ATLANTIC – The 2020 Atlantic-CAM wrestling camp has been scheduled for next week, Tuesday through Thursday, Aug. 4-6, at Atlantic High School.

Four guest counselors, all highly successful wrestlers who have been through the Atlantic-CAM wrestling program, will be on hand:

Carter Cox

  • , a Iowa Class 2A state runner-up at 113 who went on to wrestle at Cumberland University.

Zac Stork

  • , a two-time state placewinner and junior freestyle national qualifier who attends Grand View University.

John McConkey

  • , the 2018 Iowa Class 2A state champion at 285 pounds and is now at the University of Northern Iowa.

Chase McLaren

  • , a state runner up at 138 pounds who has gone on to a career at Grand View University.

The camp has two sections, one for students entering kindergarten through third grades and running from 5-6 p.m., and the other for fourth grade through high school senior and going from 6-8 p.m.

School officials will be doing body temperature checks of all attendees entering the building. Anyone showing signs of illness are asked to not come.

The K-3 camp cost is $40 while the 4-12 camp is $50. All registration and payment will be taken at the door. T-shirt sizes will also be taken; checks should be made to Little Trojan Wrestling. For more information call Tim Duff at (515) 210-9764 or email tduff@atlanticiaschools.org.
