TABOR – It was a non-conference split for Riverside Monday night against Fremont-Mills.

In the softball game, the Lady Dawgs stopped a sixth-inning rally and put up two big runs in the seventh inning to hold off the Knights 11-6.

Elyssa Amdor picked up her first win of her varsity career, allowing four hits in the victory. Jadyn Achenbach went 4-for-4 at the plate, including double, and scored three runs. Ashlynn Amdor had a double and three RBI.

On the baseball diamond, it was a wild scoring night. The Bulldogs took a 3-1 lead in the top of the second inning on a two-run RBI, but the Knights answered back with eight runs in the bottom half of the inning. It was back-and-forth from there, with the Knights persevering 18-15.

Rhett Bentley had four hits and scored four runs while driving in two runs. Wyatt Hough also had two RBI. Tyler Reed added two hits, including a double.
