AUDUBON — The Friendship Home will be hosting its 8th annual Operation T-Bone Run on Saturday, Aug. 3.

The annual road run will take place in Audubon during the Operation T-Bone celebration. Registration and sign in is at 7:15 a.m. with the race beginning at 8 a.m. There’s an event for all ages and fitness levels — including a fun walk, 5K and 10K.

“The race will begin and end at the Friendship Home with the three different routes marked throughout the town. Our 10K runners get to enjoy part of the race on our beautiful T-Bone trail,” said Amy Madsen, Marketing Director.

Last year the event brought in about 30 participants and we hope to continue to make that number grow. This year the registration fees have been lowered in hopes of getting more people involved.

The two-mile Fun Walk is $10 ($15 day of race) and 5K and 10K is $15 ($20 day of race).

Aside from the run, businesses have the opportunity to sponsor the event.

Depending on the sponsorship level, they can put their logo on race bags and/or signage. They also have the option to put any marketing materials in the bags to get their information out as well.

“We really appreciate the donations and are very blessed with a compassionate community,” Madsen said.

There is still time to register for any of the races. Forms are available at the Friendship Home, social media pages or register online at getmeregistered.com/OperationTboneRun. Officials encourage everyone to join in the event and will also accept registrations the day of the race.
