New Opportunities is hosting a free Lunch and Learn about Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). The Lunch and Learn will be held Wednesday, July 31 from 12:30-2 p.m. at New Opportunities at 23751 Highway 30 East in Carroll.
New Opportunities and UCS Healthcare have partnered to provide medication assisted treatment for opioid and alcohol addiction in Carroll, including Methadone and Suboxone.
Patients receive regulated and monitored MAT therapy Monday-Saturday,plus regular counseling.
MAT helps patients alleviate the severe withdrawal symptoms of opioid addiction, often allowing patients the ability to lead more productive lives as they work in recovery.
Studies show that MAT, along with counseling, is the most effective long term recovery strategy for opioid and other addictions. The program accepts most insurance plans, Medicaid and private pay, and can also provide treatment on a sliding fee scale for qualified patients.
The Lunch and Learn is a come and go event; USC experts will give a brief tour of the clinic and answer questions. A light lunch will be served.
