Thursday, Nov. 5 marked the fifth annual organized community fall clean-up day hosted by the Audubon County 4-H program. Approximately 25 youth, alongside 10 adults, including 4-H and Master Gardener volunteers, spent part of their afternoon making autumn yard clean up tasks a little easier for seven households. Members from five of our local county 4-H clubs participated in the service project removing a dump-trailer load of leaves and other yard waste from yards. Residents and the volunteers had positive take-aways from the event, enjoying a warm, sunny November afternoon using their hands for larger service in our community.
