Gov. Kim Reynolds has allocated $100 million of federal CARES Act relief funds for a range of agricultural programs to offset the impact of COVID-19 on farmers, producers and agricultural industries.

DES MOINES - Governor Kim Reynolds launched a new COVID-19 related program to provide rent and mortgage assistance to eligible Iowa residents on May 29.

The COVID-19 Iowa Eviction and Foreclosure Prevention Program, through the Iowa Finance Authority, will offer short term help for income eligible renters or homeowners who are at risk of eviction or foreclosure due to a documentable loss of income related to the coronavirus pandemic.

A toll-free call center has been established to answer questions about the program, particularly for potential applicants in need of help, 855-300-5885.
