The collaboration of resources and efforts makes for a secure foundation for success. The Audubon School and Audubon Police Department, in coordination with the Healthy Teen Coalition and New Opportunities through the Iowa Partnership for Success (IPFS) Grant, work together to achieve a safe and secure environment at the Audubon School’s extra-curricular activities.
The Audubon School and the Audubon Police Department created a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreement that states their intentions of having law enforcement presence at major school extra-curricular activities. The Audubon Police Department has already done agreat job of providing routine check-ins at school events. This formal agreement will serve as an excellent statement of intentions to secure the school environment. The agreement will also enhance the expected standards of good conduct and abidance to policy and laws from students and spectators at extra-curricular school activities.
School policy enhancement/development is one of five prevention strategies that are being implemented throughout the county. If you are interested in learning more about all five strategies, the Audubon County Partnerships for Success Subcommittee, or would like to become involved in this effort, please contact Morgan Bruck at email@example.com or call 712-563-6035.
