AUDUBON - A fund-raiser for the Nathaniel Hamlin Park will give families a chance to get outdoors together and do a variety of fun activities, along with learning about bees and butterflies. The Bees and Monarchs program is Saturday, June 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Nathaniel Hamlin Park south of Audubon on Highway 71.

The program includes a brownbag lunch, speakers Nancy Crews on Monarchs and Carol Fassbinder on Bees, a silent auction and fun activities. Kids can do rock painting, have fun with bubbles, create seed balls, visit the elk or walk the trails.

The cost is $5 for kids and $15 for adults, and you can call 712-563-2742 to reserve a space. All proceeds go to the “save the house project.”
