Arrests

On Aug. 29, Aubree Jasmine Cline, 35, of Council Bluffs, was arrested following a traffic stop. Cline was transported to the Shelby County Jail where she was charged with operating while intoxicated, driving while suspended, no insurance, and speed.

On Aug. 30, Kristina Marie Namanny, 37, of Harlan, was arrested following a call for service. Namanny was transported to the Shelby County Jail where she was charged with domestic abuse assault.

On Aug. 30, Cameron Stuart Cunningham, 29, of Harlan, was arrested following a call for service. Cunningham was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with public intoxication and supplying alcohol to a person under legal age.

Aug. 31, Joseph Rheinhart Smith-Kidd, 34, of Harlan, was arrested following a traffic stop. Smith-Kidd was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with driving while suspended and no seatbelt.

Accidents

Aug. 29 — A 2003 Toyota Corolla driven by Abigail Baldwin of Harlan and a 2009 Chevy Cobalt driven by Shelly Rhodes of Defiance were involved in an accident in the 2100 block of Durant Street, but vehicles were moved before officers arrived.

Aug. 30 — A 2005 Ford Explorer driven by Troy Christensen of Elk Horn was traveling south on Seventh Street. A 2009 Chevy Impala, driven by Sibongiseni Ngcani of Harlan was traveling east on Pine Street, and ran through the stop sign, striking the Ford. From that impact, the Ford hit a light pole, on the southeast forner of the intersection, causing the light pole to bend over. Ngcani was able to drive a little further south on Seventh Street and then came to rest.

Aug. 30 — Two vehicles were involved in an accident in the 2000 block of Chatburn Avenue. Marry Ann Beaman, of Harlan, was driving a 2005 Ford Freestyle, and Tam Tran of Harlan was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry. The vehicles were moved before officers arrived.

Sept. 2 — Tamara Rueschenberg, of Harlan, was driving a 2007 Chrysler Town and County north on 19th Street, and sideswiped the 2006 Ford F150, owned by James North of Harlan, causing damage along the driver’s side starting at the rear bumper and damaged the entire side of the vehicle. Her vehicle moved out of the traveled portion of the road and sustained damage to the passenger’s side mirror, door handle and door trim.
