AUDUBON — Looking for something to do next Saturday night? The Audubon County Fair Board along with AMVC and Audubon State Bank are proud to present Phil Vandel and his band on Saturday night, July 20. Admission to the show, held at the grandstand, is free and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. If inclement weather is an issue, the show will be held at the Audubon High School Auditorium.
The Phil Vandel Band is a group of stellar musicians with a repertoire of hundreds of songs. Their roots are in country music, but their extraordinary musical versatility offers something for almost everyone.
They’ve performed literally everywhere from Hollywood to Washington D.C., from Canada to Mexico, and Vandel’s shared the stage with a long list of musical artists. Some well known country stars include Charlie Daniels, Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, Little Big Town, Clint Black, John Michael Montgomery. Others are better known from TV or film, like Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band or Billy Bob Thornton and The Boxmasters.
Vandel is a proud supporter of the U.S. Military and has donated many hours to perform for active, retired, and wounded warriors from coast to coast and overseas. He has traveled to perform and was able to a part of an American Airlines/Operation Iraqi Childrens group that flew into Bahrain, Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq to entertain the U.S. Troops deployed there. He and his band also went on two separate tours to Kuwait and Iraq for an string of headlining shows for the soldiers there.
His show at the Audubon County Fair will have a patriotic theme and we encourage everyone — especially veterans — to attend! Please spread the word to help us have a great crowd.
