On Jan. 16, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Justin Lee Cooley, 31, of Atlantic, on a Cass County warrant for failure to appear. Cooley was taken to the Cass County Jail where he remains held.

On Jan. 16, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lisa Marie Shrimpton, 48, of Atlantic, on a charge of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine (a Class C Felony). Shrimpton was taken to the Cass County Jail where she remains held on $10,000 bond.

On Jan. 19, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Justin Dale Hardisty, 29, of Cumberland, on charges of OWI third or subsequent offense (a Class D Felony); driving while barred (aggravated); and interference with official acts (simple misdemeanor). Hardisty was taken to the Cass County Jail and released later that day on $5,000 bond.

On Jan. 21, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Daryl D Armstrong, 59, of Anita, on a charge of domestic assault (aggravated misdemeanor). Armstrong was taken to the Cass County Jail and released later that day on $2,000 bond.

On Jan. 22, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Aaron Joseph Moore, 41, of Atlantic, on a Sheriff’s Office warrant for possession with intent to deliver (a Class D Felony). Upon arrest for this charge, Moore was additionally charged with possession of marijuana third/subsequent (aggravated) and possession of drug paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). Moore was taken to the Cass County Jail and held there. On Jan. 24, Moore was additionally charged with sex offender residency violation second or subsequent (a Class D Felony) and an additional charge of possession with intent to deliver marijuaa (a Class D Felony). Moore remains held at the Cass County Jail on $22,300 bond.

On Jan. 26, at approximately 1:04 a.m., the Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a one-vehicle accident on 760th Street 1/2 mile north of White Pole Road. A 2014 Ford F150 driven by Ryan Paul Elgin, 38, of Casey, had attempted to back up and turn around at that location, backing into a ditch and rolling onto the passenger side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $1,500. Elgin was arrested on a charge of OWI first offense (serious) and cited with failure to maintain control. Elgin was taken to the Cass County Jail and released later that day on his own recognizance.
