Arrests

Atlantic Police investigated an accident on Sept. 8 at the intersection of Fifth and Olive Streets at 3:32 p.m. Nicholas Hensley of Cumberland was north bound on Olive Street. Mason Jordan of Atlantic was east bound at Fifth Street at a stop sign. Jorden proceeded into the intersection, failing to yield, striking Hensley’s vehicle. The driver and passengers in the back seat in Jordan’s vehicle were transported to Cass County Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The passenger in the front seat of Jordan’s vehicle was taken by private vehicle. The driver of Hensley’s vehicle complained of pain, but refused transport. Estimated damage to Hensley’s vehicle was $6,500, and estimated damage to Jordan’s vehicle was $6,000. Jordan was cited for failure to obey or yield stop sign.

Arrests

On Sept. 7, Dylan Russell, 27 of Atlantic, was arrested on multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance, second offense, possession of a controlled substance-marijuana, second offense, violation of no contact order and on a Cass County warrant for failure to appear.

On Sept. 4, Jesica Webb, 34, of Humboldt, was arrested on theft in the first degree of a vehicle and on Dickenson County for failure to appear on a theft, second degree charge. Both were taken into custody, transported to the Cass County Jail, booked in and held.

On Sept. 6, Atlantic Police arrested a Hancock resident for controlled substance violation. Christopher Provancha, 49, was taken into custody, transported to the Cass County Jail, booked in and held.

On Sept. 6, Atlantic Police arrested an Atlantic resident due to Cass County warrants for possession of controlled substance, third/subsequent, possession of controlled substance (marijuana) third/subsequent, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Justin Patton, 31, was taken into custody, transported to the Cass County Jail, booked in and held.

On Sept. 1, Atlantic Police arrested an Atlantic resident for interference with official acts. Adam Morris, 36, was taken into custody, transported to the Cass County Jail, booked in and held.

On Sept. 1, Atlantic Police arrested an Atlantic resident on several warrants out of Kentucky. Carl Soglin, 21, was taken into custody, transported to the Cass County Jail, booked in and held.
