AUDUBON - Five candidates in the Audubon Community Schools superintendent search were interviewed this week, and board members plan to discuss the candidates in a closed session on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
The candidates interviewed include: Eric Trager, the 5 - 12 Principal in Audubon; Dennis McClain, the current shared Superintendent/Elementary Principal at Clay Central Everly Community School; Michael Still, the Secondary Principal at Lenox Community School District; Jeff Privia, the elementary principal at Underwood Community School and Cory Lahndorf, the PK - 12 Principal at HLV Community School District in Victor.
The board interviewed three of the candidates on Monday and two on Wednesday night, and will have only one item on the agenda for the special meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
The board will move into closed session and discuss the finalists.
Superintendent Brett Gibbs said the board would take no action at the special meeting, but will consider the finalists so that two top finalists could be determined, and the board president could contact the top choice and try to reach a contract agreement.
The board plans to make the official announcement at their board meeting on Dec. 17.
