SHELBY COUNTY - One individual was transported to Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan following a three vehicle accident on Highway 59 in a construction zone, according to a report from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
James D. Miller, 29, of Hancock, driving a 2007 4-door Honda, and Bret Anderson, 70, of Papillion, Neb., was driving a 2002 Toyota RAV 4.
They were both driving north bound on Highway 59 at the 68 mile marker, and stopped in a construction zone. Darian Robinson, 51, of Shelby, driving a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon, was also traveling north bound on Highway 59 when he was unable to get stopped and struck the back of Anderson’s vehicle. Anderson’s vehicle then struck the back of Miller’s vehicle.
Miller and passenger, Amanda K. Miller, 36, of Hancock, were checked out by Medivac Ambulance Personnel, and stated they may be seen later for treatment. Anderson was transported to Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan by Medivac Ambulance Personnel. Robinson was cited for failure to maintain control.
