Atlantic 13-U team state runners-up

The Atlantic 13-and-Under baseball team participated in the Hometown State baseball tournament the weekend of June 12 in Grinnell., and finished as runner up, losing to Waverly-Shell Rock in the championship game. The Hometown State Baseball Tournament is made up of teams from towns of less than 50,000 people and have a high school enrollment of less than 700 students. The team, as a result of their runner-up finish, has qualified for the national tournament July 29-Aug. 1 in DeForest, Wis.
